(1.1)    Feasibility studies & customized technical proposals

Backed through our researchers and extensive experience on optical networks and systems, SRC offers services to enable the exploration of new technologies for different applications. We can support you with the technical feasibility evaluation for integrating a given optical system into the existing network, do a thorough performance analysis of the expected solution, accompanied by the main technological choices and design building blocks as part of these studies.
We also can support clients on the techno-economic evaluation and provide technical proposals, list of material (LOM), and list of price (LOP) for every stage for prototyping.

(1.2)    Design, Verification, and Implementation

Based on our solid experience in working with a broad range of optical networks and equipment, our design team can propose optimised optical design solutions most suitable for the clients' needs or current systems. We consider workability, operability/adaptability/maintainability, and capacity/functionality in the design phase of the project and work closely with our collaborators and resourceful partners (both local and international) to develop customised solutions for a new technology or modification of a system while considering:
1)    user-friendly and effective construction for:
-    Optical cable design
-    Design of Optical passive equipment such as ODF/ OCDF (Optical Cable Distribution Frame), connectors, etc.
-    Design/ modification of Optical active equipment such as SDH, switches, etc.

(1.3)    Metrology solutions

SRC provides metrology solutions for specific requirements. There are a variety of measurement procedures to respond to the diversity of optical fibre based components and systems in tune with the needs of users. We offer optimised measurements, characterisation and standards concerning telecommunications, data transfer, components and instrumentation.
Our experts also perform “loss Budget” analysis during the design phase or before testing the optical link in order to verify a fiber-optic system's operating characteristics and estimate expected measurement results. We calculate and statistically estimate the contribution of different types of attenuations and noise sources in a fiber optic link. Both the passive and active components of the optical link are included in the loss-budget calculation. Passive loss can be due to fiber loss, connector loss, splice loss, and losses involved with couplers or splitters in the link. In the active components loss calculations system gain, wavelength, transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, and dynamic range are considered

(1.4)    Test, Calibration, and Qualification


Best methods of measurement and testing fiber optic equipment and cables are proposed and performed by our skilful experts prior to and after system installation. Our test equipment (such as optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR), Optical power meter, Light source, etc.)
and team of experts provide the opportunity to proposed best testing solutions and conduct a variety of tests and calibrations on different types of installed fiber optic transmission systems or in laboratory environment. We are capable of doing all types of component or fiber optic cable testing including component testing, Continuity testing, Insertion loss testing, Bit error rate testing, Polarization measurement, wavelength measurement, dispersion measurement, bandwidth measurement, etc

(1.5)    Data analysis & Troubleshooting

Our professionals analyse and interpret test measurement results based on the diversity of optical fibre-based components and systems. We assess the performance and efficiency of fiber optic components, cable plants and systems based on international and national standards and prepare a report on system performance specifications. In case of any problem, we perform fault isolation and comprehensive troubleshooting of failures in optical links to recognise and localise the fault. We also prepare technical proposal on how to economically fix the problem in the shortest time. 

 (1.6)    Consultation and training

SRC offers training and consultation services for a variety of Optical Distribution Network (ODN) with different architectures. Our training/consultancy services include:
-    Planning Optical Distribution Network and equipment
-    Providing detailed design for the construction of the network
-    Providing onsite supervision for the construction of the network
-    Providing training on equipment, system/software upgrade, or maintenance to the client’s staff
-    Consultation on testing procedure during and after the construction of fiber optic network
Moreover, we provide proper documentation including design layouts, test/measurement results, system manual, technical modification, etc. for each project and submit that to the client. Proper documentation is key in the proper project management, system maintenance, expansion and troubleshooting of fiber optics infrastructure.

The main responsibility of this department is to manage and implement turn-key projects in the field of high voltage transmission lines. That is based on the following categories.

It includes the installation of optical fiber cables - such as All-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable and optical ground wire (OPGW)- on transmission lines, lightning poles & distribution networks. We are able to execute these projects on Hot & Cold line status. All of activities will be planned and handled based on standard procedures of QA system defined in our organization.
(a)    OPGW installation:
This category covers installation of composite optical fiber cable or optical ground wire (OPGW) either on cold or hot transmission lines in the range of 63, 132, 230 & 400 KV. We have a successful track record including a number of certificates of satisfaction from different clients.
(b)    ADSS installation:
This category covers installation of All-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable for power distribution networks (20 KV) & lightning poles. We have a successful track record including a number of certificates of satisfaction from different clients.
